Breakfast at the hotel. We start with a visit to the İstiklal pedestrian avenue. İstiklal Avenue or Independence Avenue (Turkish: İstiklâl Caddesi) is one of the most famous avenues in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the historic district of Beyoğlu, and is a pedestrian street, which houses boutiques, music stores, bookstores, art galleries, cinemas, theaters, libraries, cafes, pubs, night clubs with live music, historical pastry shops, chocolate shops and restaurants. The next stop is the famous Galata Tower. The tower is located in the Gálata neighborhood, in front of ancient Constantinople on the opposite side of the Golden Horn. The city of Gálata, a colony belonging to the Republic of Genoa, was located in this place between the 13th and 15th centuries. Today it enjoys an exceptional location in the center of Istanbul, very close to the Bosphorus where it meets the Golden Horn. We continue with Karaköy. Breakfast and start the day with a visit to the Suleymaniye Mosque. The Suleiman Mosque is built on the top of the third hill of historic Istanbul by the legendary architect Mimar Sinan and is one of the largest mosques in the city. Then we will see along the way the Valens Aqueduct, which was a system of Roman aqueducts built at the end of the 4th century AD, to supply Constantinople, the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. The next stop is the Zeyrek Mosque, which was a Byzantine monastery with the name Pantocrator Monastery dedicated to Christ. Like most of the city's Byzantine churches, it was transformed into a mosque after the Ottomans conquered Constantinople in 1453. Pantocrator, meaning "almighty," was the largest church in Constantinople after the Hagia Sophia. Then see the Gül Mosque, which was another unique former Byzantine monastery that has been converted into a mosque. The so-called "Church of Saint Theodosia", now known as Gül Camii ('Rose Mosque' in Turkish), was a Byzantine church in the Dexiokratous district of Constantinople, near the Walls of the Golden Horn. We begin with Kadıköy, known in classical antiquity and during the Roman and Byzantine eras as Chalcedon (Greek: Χαλκηδών), where the Council of Chalcedon was held, which was the fourth ecumenical council of the Christian Church. Today it is a lively district, full of markets where you can find fresh fruits, seafood and modern cafes, while you will also see several historic places and buildings. Passing the coast of Üsküdar, you will be able to see the Maiden Tower, one of the most emblematic buildings in Istanbul.
